VOC Znojmo

Is a new Appellation System introduced in 2009. VOC nomination (Wines with Original Certification) is based on the idea that VOC Association (winemakers themselves) can strictly control quality of their wines. Similar systems have been existing for many decades in other important European wine regions e.g. AOC in France, DOC in Italy, DAC in Austria or DO in Spain etc.

Only three varieties can proudly bear labels of VOC certification: Sauvignon Blanc, Rhine Riesling, Gruner Veltliner (Valtelina).
